Finally a moment of peace to take a break and blog again.A few weeks ago I took on the challenge to learn and install Linux. This was the best thing I've ever done for quite a while. I am ecstatic and very happy of what I have achieved over the past few weeks. I managed to install Fedora Core 5 and downloaded tens of open source programs, compiled, and installed successfully. There were a few hicups on the way but managed to clear them all as I steamed along.
Of recent, I had an issue with my nautilus file manager failing to recognize the different file types and couldn't properly display the special Computer URI. After trolling the internet and googling my way through, I found the following article which helped fix the problem.
